- Image Data (Required): When you tap “Identify,” the app securely uploads the image you select or capture to a third-party recognition service. The image is used only to generate identification results and is not stored or reused for any other purpose.
- Personal Information: CaterID does not collect your name, email, precise location, or any personally identifiable information.
Third-Party Services
CaterID relies on a specialized image recognition API to analyze photos and generate identification results.
That provider receives the uploaded image solely for recognition purposes and does not use it for advertising, tracking, or profiling.
Cookies and Device Identifiers
The recognition API we integrate may use device-level identifiers (such as “mobile cookies” or “SDK tags”) to ensure proper operation and prevent misuse of the service. These identifiers do not reveal your personal identity.
Security
Images and any optional diagnostic data are transmitted using secure, industry-standard methods.
While no system is completely immune to risk, we take reasonable steps to protect your data and prevent unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.
Children’s Privacy
CaterID is not directed to children under 4 years old.
We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 4.
